What influences led you to your primary area of practice and what life experience made you to be a better attorney?

My positions of leadership, both professionally and in the community, have given me the practical experience of communicating with different types of personalities and the entrees for seeking advice and ideas from other professionals. Although each experience was unique, I am particularly proud of having served as President of the Chattanooga Bar Association and having served as the first chair of the Synergy Summit (www.synergypro.org), which later experience gave me the opportunity to meet and work with leaders of seven national organizations representing over 100,000 members.

Having the opportunity to help clients achieve their goals, often in a win-win context.
