What influences led you to your primary area of practice and what life experience made you to be a better attorney?
My military experience was a significant factor in my development as an attorney. The organizational, leadership and administrative skills which I honed in my military service have been largely responsible for the success I experience as an attorney in my practice.
My father was a contractor in the construction industry. I worked in the construction industry while growing up and have always felt comfortable handling cases involving construction and real estate disputes because of these experiences.
Describe your law firm.
Cavett & Abbott, PLLC was established to serve our clients who need litigation attorneys in the areas of real estate, construction and criminal defense. We are unique in that we have always maintained our emphasis on litigation and have limited our practice to these core areas. We do not handle transactional work, corporate formation or other non-litigation cases. With our emphasis on litigation in specific areas of practice, we are better able to serve our clients who need trial attorneys with substantial experience in these areas of the law.
